Vintage Electronics..

I love to collect vintage stuff especially those which has been on Earth for a considerable amount of time, made of premium materials, of quality build and lasts very long time with its own unique characteristics or design. Vintage designs are usually simple, doesn't need too much effort to push up attention unlike modern flashy design. 

With that said, I have to admit I'm not an electronic freak nor such a mobile-tech person, but I do like mobiles for some reason or the other. Firstly, the mobiles should last a long time, *I would immediately junk mobiles which lasts less than a year, never had that experience though*. I wouldn't spent too much money on the latest tech as price would drop significantly, unlike vintage collectibles.

One of my phones which has lasted me is my Nokia N93, a Symbian60 version 3 OS, it is a sponsorship present before I  entered university, circa 2006. This phone lasted me due to usage only on walks on weekends and in my room. This is due to its large size, weight, slightly sluggish and battery guzzling abilities. I preferred small phones with long battery juice for mobility.

I still use this phone whenever I wanted to read an electronic book or just for the fun of it. Some simple games such as Raging Thunder, Sudoku and Chess are also some of the Symbian applications installed with usual university functions such as the scientific calculator.

The N93 is also part of my collectibles, which adds more diversity to my collectibles.

Adidas Superstar 80s Black& White Colourway

This is the first pair of vintage Adidas Superstar 80s which I have my hands on, this pair is an excellent pair of shoes to be out on whatever type of occasion you're in. I simply just love this shoe's simplicity, comfort as well as the quality of the material used to construct these shoes.

When I see that it has been released once again for the year 2011, it was a really great vintage colourway which I really loved to have and own, however my pair still looks great and I believe will definitely last me a long time as I really love these shoes and take extremely good care to it as they are a part of my collectibles.

Vintage Levi's 517 Top Button No.8

Almost the whole day is spent to practice for my upcoming viva which is approaching in less than a day now. Still me and my sweet heart manage to squeeze some time together for an outing, as we went and go for a stroll together, I came across something really vintage.

Spotted with my own eyes this time, I spotted a tagless seasoned pair of Levi's, just by looking at it's bootcut features, I knew at once that it is a Levi's 517. However the backpockets and also arctuates are really different from the usual Levi's 517s before.

Immediately I took it, and searched its zipper, and to my suprise it is a Talon 42 zipper made in USA, a positive vintage indication. And right at the backpockets, its red tab only states an R. This really signifies something special about these pair of jeans. I tried to put it on, but it wasn't my size anyway. I was reluctant.

And then I search the innards of the jeans for a care tag, and there is a small care tag with instructions, size and also model and year of make. These pair of Levi's jeans were made in the USA in the year 1979. Whoa, that's a long time ago, I wasn't born yet. This is really a pair of vintage jeans. And even though it doesn't fit, in my mind, I must get hold of a pair of these.

So, basically today I had a great time with my sweetheart and we spent time together in a calm and unstressful way despite the upcoming viva. So, all the best to us and all those having their viva tomorrow. God bless.

New to the blogging world

Greetings, this blog is created to share my interests, mostly on collectibles items which the author is interested in, mostly on vintage as well as modern Levi's jeans, Adidas shoes and also Timberland boots which are currently in the author's possesion.

The author is new to the collectibles world, and still a student, however interest hasn't stop the author to be able to collect a few Big E vintage jeans from Japan. An avid collector, the pictures are going to be posted soon, the Big E models are 503BXX, 502XX and also 702XX. The author also collect modern jeans models such as the engineered jeans.

There will also be section in which the author will sell some of the jeans, shoes and other collectibles I collect which doesn't fit or suit my collection taste anymore. The author is very open to all vintage knowledge regarding Levi's Vintage Collections which the author is really interested in.

Levi's Vintage jeans are jeans which are manufactured before the 1971, the jeans are distingushed from the more modern Levi's jeans from the red tabs on the back pockets which show's the capital or big "E". There are more vintage marks such as the famous red selvedge or red ear "akamimis" in Japanese, which are XX denim which are still made using narrow looms. Buttons on back pockets strain points, adjustable bucklebacks at the hind, V-stitched and double stitched as well as button punches are among the basic things to look for vintage Levi's. These are rare and expensive collectibles which are worth to collect.

The author always pays attention to detail of a collectives and takes high amount of concentration in considering an authenticity of the collectives. The author wears all his collectibles and cycles through out every pair of the collection with considered priority to the value of the jeans.
