Little blessings

Figure 1: Crystal droplets.
The little things that we pass by every single day are the ones we always missed out. At least I did, I always missed those spectacular sunsets which people care less about. I am so focused on living a life that I just bypassed all those tiny things which are just working their best to get noticed.

We tend to focus on big things with high expectations only to be sad because we couldn't achieve it. We fail to see the little blessings which is given daily by God. It is human nature to want things even though we have enough. Sometimes it is the little things that we have that can make us happy.

I don't know what's the fuss about getting expensive trinkets and following latest trend. If this fever catches you, you will never know when to stop. Especially when what we have is enough but we do not appreciate it. We are considered very fortunate and only if we take time to realize this will make us more happier.

So look closely and try to appreciate every little blessing in life. It is through little things we can learn to be happy and appreciate. Doing this doesn't mean you're complacent with the state you're in, but it means that for everything you work hard for, you take time to enjoy it. God bless.

Lethargic allergy

Figure 1: Smile.
Achoo~!!! Achoo~!!! All the way as I traveled back to my work place from home. There is a certain room at home in which if I enter, will get super itchy in the nose, my eyes will start to water and like a leaked water tap, my nose will bleed water.

My eyes and nose will turn red due to that itch and my mind will get slow. Thinking will be a hassle for me when I am in this lethargic state due to allergy. I am so hyper-sensitive when it comes to the cleanliness of the place I am living in, working in and spend time at.

I simply can't stand going to closed up places only to find it so dusty or filled with pollen which activates my hyper-sensitive nose. My room is equipped with efficient aeration, allergen free air-conditioning and humidity balancing device just to keep my room suitable for me to live in.

Someone used to give me a bouquet of live flowers, I didn't know about my allergies at first but as I left the flowers at home it began to wither and the pollen probably got separated from the flowers itself. I didn't know the root cause of my sudden allergy until I blow the air out of my room and threw the flowers away.

Despite being such a clean freak myself, I suffer a lot from my allergies ever since I am small, running nose just like a leaking tap water, reduced performance, almost constant sneezing which pisses off surrounding people and facial features which scares the public (red nose, red eyes = H1N1??).

I totally avoid meeting up with people especially clients, bosses or dates with friends when I am having this allergy situation. Since, I am born this way I can't change the way I am, just that there are probably others like me suffering this lethargic allergy situation, and I hope to share this to those who never knew about this.

There are ways to actually improve the situation due sudden exposure to allergens which will bring disaster, but I wouldn't resort to surgery or heavy medical means. This is a genetic weakness in my part, I am willing to work around it and with that said, I can still smile and be happy.

Random people

I was out early this morning looking for something nice to eat. So I went to a small stall sat down, ordered a plate of fried rice "Chinese cooking style" and a glass of hot chocolate. I shared my table with an man nearing his 40s. That particularly ordinary man was looking very confused at his hand phone.

My order reach me and I turn my gaze from that ordinary man to my food. Looking at the steam and nice smell from the Hokkien fried rice, I slowly ate it with slight glee. As I chewed my food and swallowed, I reach out to grab my drink, I saw the man was still confused and persistent in pressing his hand phone buttons repeatedly.

I ate half of my plate and felt a bit uncomfortable, then I asked him, "I'm sorry for asking, but what's the problem?"

The man turned his confused face to me and answered, "I can't seem to read my messages on my hand phone".

"Let me take a look", he gave me the hand phone and I tinkered with it for a while. It is an old Nokia handphone, if I'm not mistaken a model N70, one with the sluggish Symbian. It seems that his phone memory got full and he can't send or receive any messages. I just switched his messaging mode to memory card and it is sorted out.

The man was so happy he said, "Praise God". I was taken back a bit when he said that quite loud and clear, but I managed to smile and was so glad that by a simple deed, God's name is praised.

I am so randomly blessed.

Thank you

Smiles from strangers are not to be expected but I was very lucky to have a few smiles despite the hustle and bustle of the city. A ride in a Mercedes Benz from someone I never knew, happens twice already. I simply gave a red note and say "thank you and have a nice day".

Someone = stranger, I never knew speaking to me casually and offering me an apple for a change. I didn't eat it though as I am scared it  is poisoned. A simple thank you is my simple reply to that random kindness. I can never turn down such offer even though I am not tempted to eat it.

I am so random and loves to spend my off-days strolling around and get mixed up instead of just resting in my room. Someone came up to me asking for donations for some kids at Phillipines, but since there is a slight hint of fraud and something feels not so right, I say, No, thank you.

All these few words of "Thank you", gave each of the someones a smile which I love to watch. I am blessed to be taught by my parents and friends the art of being courteous. That is a gift which I can be thankful of for the rest of my life.

"My mom blushed & smiled when I say thank you for such a delicious dinner"

These simple yet heart-felt words are getting more rarer than my collectibles that one day someone will want to die to hear it.

Smiles

I was staring out at the blue when I didn't realize that I was staring at a girl, she was pretty in make up yet when she looked at me, she was the most beautiful when she's smiling.
Figure 1: Down right true.
No matter how plain or pretty as a person you are, the moment you smiled, that is when you look so beautiful that stars will fall from the skies. Just a metaphor.

Keep smiling everyone, at every happy moment, some sad ones too, and during those hard times, this will make life more vibrant not only for yourselves but for others as well.
