Deep inside, far away

Figure 1: An engulfing darkness.
These days are very famous with war, political issues and upcoming economy crisis. The tough days are still yet to come, but a self-discipline intervention need to arise in myself. To be more controlled and frugal on my resources and to always plan for the worst case scenario in the near future.

People all around the globe are having a tougher time, coping with the fear of losing their lives, hunger and stress of oppression by their own kind. While here we complain so much about something which increases but doesn't give such a huge impact to us.

We can still afford to eat, drive and live our lives normally despite the economy set-back. We still need to change, to improve for better and steer our path to counter this situation. It is workable and isn't the worst case scenario yet.

I fear that it will be soon, but at the same time I am glad. I am quite sick of living such an easy life, while other people around the world is struggling just to get a spoon of rice. Life is so easy that we complain, focus too much on the little negative which in turn makes us seem more miserable.

Exaggeration of a small matter is such a commonplace when, life gets so easy and words said are more than action taken.

A small act of kindness

Today was an eventful day, so I have hoped for a smooth day, but things just don't always work out as planned. This is predictable but then without the glitch I wouldn't been able to experience this extra-ordinary act of kindness.

Figure 1: When you leave this world, only your deed are reminisce.

I planned for a sunset on the evening, but the urge to go cycling was strong, so I decide to rest my camera on the table and go out cycling on that supposedly beautiful evening. I cycled from my home to the beach where I get to see with my own eyes a beautiful sunset.

I saved that in my limited mind memory and decide to head back home. As I cycle back towards home, it was already getting dark, with the highest gear I paddled to reach home as fast as I could. Suddenly the ride got rough and the back tire is out of air.

I brought a small pump with me, but to no avail as air gusts out of the tire easily. So, without further ado I get ready to push the bike a long way back home. I wasn't discourage by this and I didn't find a reason to complain, I was amazed that I am not miserable at all.

Still a long way and a hill away from home, a white old 1.5 tonne lorry passed me, I didn't notice as a lot of vehicles pass-by which is normal. Then it does a U-turn on that tight road and came back to me honking. I looked and saw two elderly uncles calling to me, Boy, do you need a ride home?

I say, I'm fine, it's just a little more walk, which isn't true. The uncle driving the lorry insisted me to follow. So I lifted my bike and climbed up the back of the lorry, but the uncle say, Don't sit there, come here into the cabin. So with full obedience I followed.

The uncles were contract workers working under the state's power utility company and they were seasoned men. They mentioned to me that, there was nothing to do at home, and it's a hot day so they decide to go out for a walk. They pity me for pushing the bike especially when it is at night.

I was amazed again today, and this small act of serendipity has touched and instantly made me ponder. They send me right up to my doorstep, as I shook their rough hands, I thanked them, three times, but more in my heart.

They are good people in this old old world and despite what others think, life isn't bad at all.

Life in an un-perfect world

I believe that life is more than a simple dream which revolves over and over again. Life has so much promises that is often clouded by evil things which happens daily in different parts of the world. This world is tainted with sin, but I believe that God is still in control.

Figure 1: Green mosses, one of my favorite subjects.
Despite the bad news and suffering everywhere, I find no reason to panic and lose hope. I believe that even in a perfect peaceful world, there must be strife and hardships which will make life more challenging and filled with ups and downs.

Figure 2: After sunset at Tindakon Dazang beach.
Still I am so fortunate to be living in a country where the effects of these bad news are still minimal and under control. In other places the challenge seems more intense and tough, but people is still doing their best to life despite the oppression. Life is indeed precious.

Lunar Eclipse

The recent lunar eclipse has caught me breathless even though I only manage to see it from afar, this is probably the second time I have witnessed a lunar eclipse, my first is probably when I was 10 years old. I can't remember the moment though as I only took a glimpse and continue playing computer games, was such a terrible addict.

This time, at the moment of the lunar eclipse, probably most people will just stare at it without thinking much, but I stare at the red bloody looking moon and think, what if tomorrow never comes, what if it is the end of the world? Am I ready for such catastrophic events? Have I donned my suit of armour and prepared for the worst battle?
Figure 1: The lunar eclipse captured by my friend's DSLR.
No.. I am not ready for anything, I don't feel prepared and this bothered me greatly. I need to prioritize and balance myself in all aspects of spirituality and physically. When this moment of truth happens, all those worldly dreams I've dreamed, the career that I've fought for will all be reduced to nothingness.

Tragic, still I am a weak human after all, life is so fragile...
