Reminiscing 2013: Environment blues

With temperatures rising every year and the weather getting more and more unpredictable, it seems that mother nature is retaliating against us. Mankind who is tasked to take care of the world has grown greedy and has neglected protecting nature. It is saddening to me.

Figure 1: Bottled up sunset.
Food for thought, with organic food becoming a rarity and expensive product to buy, food is getting more and more artificial. With fast food being the favorites of today's generation, it seems like natural and healthy food is getting scarce to date. It seems like a global food problem will arise soon.

Environment

Figure 1: Bottled sunset.
Our world is getting more and more polluted as time passes by. Trees are getting chopped down one after another to house human modernization. Stress at work is getting worse due to the selfishness of man, wanting more than what is already been provided.

Once, God gave a huge responsibility to mankind, to take care of the earth and toil its soil in order to sustain. However, the opposite happened and now, due to greed, most of the world's precious resources is now been harvested. One day, it will all be gone.

Just like the platypus, just like the javanese rhinoceros, all will be extinct and rare. Even though, its just one bottle, bottles will never degrade up to like 400-500 years. Marine life can get killed by all those plastic bags and strings.

Still, it hurts just to think about it and unable to do anything much.

Life in an un-perfect world

I believe that life is more than a simple dream which revolves over and over again. Life has so much promises that is often clouded by evil things which happens daily in different parts of the world. This world is tainted with sin, but I believe that God is still in control.

Figure 1: Green mosses, one of my favorite subjects.
Despite the bad news and suffering everywhere, I find no reason to panic and lose hope. I believe that even in a perfect peaceful world, there must be strife and hardships which will make life more challenging and filled with ups and downs.

Figure 2: After sunset at Tindakon Dazang beach.
Still I am so fortunate to be living in a country where the effects of these bad news are still minimal and under control. In other places the challenge seems more intense and tough, but people is still doing their best to life despite the oppression. Life is indeed precious.

A dreaded life

Life is treating me so well, with a better opportunities in every corner, more time for self driven activities and for praising God. Still deep in my heart, as responsibilities pile up, experienced people come and go, there is a deep dread which causes worry in me.

Life will be dreadful if you can't do anything for the people you love, work pile up everyday causing me to be a workaholic. Stress overcoming my mental strength is also one of the dreaded things which I fear will happen to me. I need to take charge and have control over this.

I should try to take it easy and relax myself a bit. Feeling quite tense these few days. Worried sometimes that I will turn into a robot with no feelings. That is a dreaded life to me. A soul deprived of health, happiness and sense of humanity.

Mother Earth

Mother Earth, thank you for giving me a place to live in this earth of Yours. Thank you for the fresh air which You have provided from your peaceful and loving nature. Thank you for the fresh water which you have brought out through water springs and rivers. Thank you for the atmosphere in which to protect us from the harsh sun.
Figure 1: Nature.
The beautiful sunrise at dawn, birds early in the morning seeking refuge in Your alms and without having anything, You took care of them and without me realizing, You took care of me. The rain when it gets scorching hot, I keep complaining when it rains, and again failed to see the bigger picture of Your plans.

Mother Nature, thank You for providing mankind the power to gather necessities to live in your beautiful Earth. Please forgive us for getting greedy and taking more than required. Forgive us for not taking care of the environment due to our selfishness. Forgive us for only thinking of ourselves.

Dear Creator, thank You for creating us according to Your image. Thank You for giving us wisdom and authority above all the creatures of Earth. Thank you for Your continuous care and blessing to us. Forgive us when we misuse our wisdom and try to change the Earth not according to Your will.

Forgive us for wanting more and never satisfied rather than appreciate what we have. Forgive us for all the wrong things which are happening in this world due to sin. Your anger is seen in earthquakes and disasters which occurs often lately. Your words of judgement are in the thunders.

Mother Earth,
I have a lot to thank You. I wish my mind is born to praise You. My mind constantly revolves on small matters around me that I failed to see the bigger picture which You are showing to me everyday.

Disastrous 2012??

Figure 1: Dim 2012.
Yesterday evening, at about 7pm, a friend of mine residing at an island just Westernmost of my country just called, requesting a prayer for the safety of his family and the people at the island. His voice was uneasy but remained calm as he relayed me the message.

The fear of disaster and death is the most terrifying feeling one would get when facing it. The uncertainty and effects that death brings is truly painful, draining love ones souls of happiness. People always think, is this life worth living if there is only death waiting at the door.

After praying for everyone, I called up every relative and people I know contactable just to know their conditions at their respective areas. Slept well at 1am in the morning after knowing everything is alright back there. Death is inevitable, my legs shake just thinking of it.

The earthquake originates at a neighboring country, just 400km South of it, so far in the news there are no occurrences of a tsunami, this is a fast report of what is happening there.

Here are pictures of people, terrified, panicky, running away, hugging loved ones at the sight of disaster and the unscented presence of death. What is happening to this world, with lot of fake soothsayers and false prophets predicting the end of the world, it is clearly stated in the Book of Life that the end of ages is already near.

Heed the warning or not, life goes on, but knowing that this world won't last, it is best to invest in assets which is unseen. Life in the heavenly realm will be a life without tears, death and anymore painful suffering that this world offers. I'll gladly leave everything enticing in this world just to have a taste of heaven.

If 2012 is my last, I hope I'll weight up enough to be in the promised heavenly kingdom.

I cried deep in my heart..

I never shed a tear, when people whom I know since small, pass away, fade away in my world of existence. It doesn't hurt inside when my surroundings is filled with sadness. I kept quiet and dislike looking into the faces of all those sad and crying. I dislike the aroma and ambient of a funeral.

Until today, I felt like crying in my heart when I saw pictures of my Facebook friend who I have never met before, he lost his wife to cancer recently in the month of May and I only knew about it when I saw a recent picture post. I was truly touched by his late wife's faith in God and brave words "If I should die before the rest of you. When I am gone speak or sing in a Sabbath voice but be the usual selves that I have known. Parting is painful but life goes on, so sing out LOUD to praise LORD. Amen."

Figure 1: Not so clear Facebook comment string.
This made me cry in my heart, for this parting is of true love, the waiting and longing never ends. It reaches out to heaven, we are all made a new, but never forgetting the love of our life. His late wife also wrote "We may not know the exact reason why bad things are happening to us, but we can know the good does come out ~ often many areas of good ~ radiating from one bad event. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for YOU are with me; YOUR rod and YOUR staff, they comfort me ~Psalm 23:4 "

Shown in Figure 1, there is another friend of my Facebook who is struggling in a divorce, which is of course suffering, however, he has no hope in this marriage and is giving up, aren't marriage supposed to be till death do us part. I was a bit taken a back by his hopelessness in his marriage. I wouldn't want my marriage be torn apart by anything besides death.

Love is true, it touches my heart so when I seen how my friend really loves his family and wife, and through Christ that stretches to eternity. In this deep sleep I believe if we hold on to Christ, the suffering of life is over and all that is left is the awaiting of His second coming.

I love you Jesus, thank you for leading the way into my heart..
