Ticking Clock

Time passes by so fast, it seems as though what seems an eternity at first yet slips away at a mere blink of an eye. I felt like it was just yesterday, I went into the company and shake everyone's hand. (almost everyone I think). But now, just 2 days more I'll complete my resignation process.

Its time to move on they say, to greener pastures where the cows get better grass. I'm not relating myself to being a cow but through the hard work I have encountered which tested my every capabilities, I survived, sometimes barely, sometimes missing an speeding arrow just by an inch.

It is easy to get hurt, fall down and give up, but to gain the strength to stand up tall and rise up again needs powerful support from the higher powers. I have tried to rely on my own strength but keep failing terribly despite my confidence.

The clock is ticking, but I'll never know when my body clock will stop ticking. All I know is I have a purpose in life, and that is to serve and do my best in everything that needs to be done.

Time

Time never waits for me or anyone, it passes so fast that, people age without realizing it, moments which seems to last fade away without enough appreciation and in a blink of an eye things changes. Time is uncontrollable despite how people strive to race it to the finish line, time will always be ahead of you.

I've been so busy planning for my project schedules that time doesn't allow me to enjoy my life the way I used to want it to be. I dislike it but these are the consequences of life, where there are times when I have to give what I have to give and take what I can take.

Despite time being so horridly cruel to me, my project schedule is on time and there are a few more matters to be settled regarding a few flaws here and there. I am lucky to be working in a group and there are matters also assigned to my other colleagues.

If you haven't done something which you wish to do during this certain time-frame, I suggest that you do it despite any limitation, may it be monetary, right time, or right location, I believe that at a certain compromise, just do it regardless as the chance may not come again.

Some people say, time does cruel things to people, effecting their emotions and beauty in such a way, but is it really time's fault? That is the question to be answered. So, if any golden opportunities arises, be sure to grab it, even if not perfectly but at least never regretting not doing anything at all.

The sands of time is flowing in the time-glass this very moment.

Time flutters by..

Figure 1: Right tools for the right application.
Days passes by so fast that it's already the middle of the month. I have been so busy with work that I didn't realize that time is fluttering away like pages blown by a strong breeze. I am so glad to have finished up my project proposal just in time for commencing after my day of rest.

There's been a lot of jitters here and there, lots of disagreement between peers and bosses and finally I drafted my proposal and got it signed. There's no more headache and heart-ache after finally sorting out the final pages of my proposal. I am so pleased and relieved. Just before my day of rest.

When I was back at the homeland, I used to teach my little nephews how to write hanzi or Chinese characters, I thought them numbers from single digit to thousands, simple polite greetings as well as directions, time, date and things.

My nephews were so eager to learn and they just don't give up and kept asking for more till I'm actually out of ideas and have to refer to a formal Chinese dictionary. I really enjoy teaching little kids who are so innocent-like that when they concentrate sometimes it makes me smile naturally. "Which I don't usually do".

I miss them, these little naughty kids, one time, they were fighting and hitting each other, the next they're their best friends. However, it is not the same when teaching elder people or adults. Especially since I'm younger of age and was given the responsibility to train them.

From the adults, I always get lazy answers as well as slow response. When they argue, they go on non-stop without even thinking of the actual purpose of arguing. Maybe it's their ego, I plainly have some too, but not enough to actually raise my voice. I'll just say, use the right tool for the right application.

I'll just wait for the right moment when there's no solution, then I'll just shut them up with a slice of solution and march out the presentation room for them to work out the rest. They're adults and so called professionals, so let them think. I hope I won't turn into one of them one of these days, but who knows.

I'll always love being around with kids, those who are young at heart and easy to smile. Always be playing around wisely and be collecting my collectibles. For now, after a hectic few weeks of February, let me rest for a day.

Slows down..

Figure 1: Signatures in light.
Time is passing by so fast than I can't seem to handle, with work coming here and there without warning, and almost everyday I have to sign-sign-sign since my bosses are on holiday. Well, it will all pass, and soon it will all be back to normal I hope. Hectic!!

I just wish I can slow down time, just capture a single beautiful moment and make it last forever..

Dark & Darker...

Time fleets by unrealized,
Wise ones are aware,
Change filled every space,
Choking those unprepared...

Physical beauties are everywhere,
Lacking heart qualities,
Morals & tradition change,
Killing those old kindness...

Unappreciated ones die,
Replaced by fools & fake,
Action & reality is gone,
Replaced by falseness of the tongue...

Voice of the hearts,
Matters not anymore,
Replaced by materialistic mess,
Which kills real love life...

Before I step deeper into 2011, there's a few mentionables about 2010

Since I've been very busy during the holidays, I've been unable to blog due to the lack of connectivity at Kota Belud. There's been a lot of movement during the course of my holidays, still not much real progress for my final year project, which I'll be struggling for during my last semester. Now I'm still in my first week of lecture, so there is a few mentionables which I've reserved just before I really step into year 2011.
Figure 1: My parent's 25th anniversary special.
The most special highlight of the holiday is my parent's 25th anniversary which is held in church. A special ceremony is held up for all the married couples for my family and it is a coincidence that my family is back to Kota Belud, so decide to join up, so I went through the task of being the honourable driver to do errands such as looking for my mum's bride dress at the bridal and up to photographing the event.

Marriages are meant to last and it's no on-off relationship which we can just make up through feelings, it takes principle and a lot of effort to build up. Lasting marriages is getting really rare these days. So I as a Christian, am also hoping to get married and have a lasting marriage as have my parents. They are my role models.
Figure 2: My steady girlfriend.
It's almost 3 years since we've started a relationship, and I feel that things are going to get better, there's a lot of experience that we've spent together, lots of studying together are among those bitter-sweet times. She has always been a motivation for me when tough times come, especially if there is set-backs during my final year project and also when facing tough tests, assignments and project.

It's been fun to be able to sit together in a class with a special person, it makes me super concentrate during classes (not sure if this works for everyone though). I felt that meeting her was God-sent and that God knew that I need someone to strengthen me spiritually and keep me strong during the whole course of my challenging undergraduate.

Most of all, she loves sweet goodies, especially ice cream and also dark chocolate. Sweet girl, she is one.
Figure 3: Jump into the river, blurred.
Another notable feat is of course river jumping, well it's not such a proud feat but bathing in the river is something my brother has been looking forward to when returning back to the kampung. The river at my kampung which is Kg.Gaur, Kota Belud, Sabah, Malaysia is really clear river and has been a very famous bathing place. So I had a very enjoyable time with my little brother, I've spent little time with him, so it is something I also look forward to.

Still there is always danger when bathing, due to its strong current and at different times cold, cramps can occur. This happened to me recently during the semester break last year 2010, I actually went down into the water to check the depth but I can't reach it, it is really deep and when I tried to go up, the current below the water mixed with cold water caused me to lose stamina.

I got tired as I surfaced the river, my cousin was nearby luckily and it is still far towards the shallow part, I guess if he wasn't there, I could've drowned and not survived the year. God is indeed watching over me. Praises to the Lord.
Figure 4: Cloudy day at the tip of Borneo.

This is a recent trip to the tip of Borneo last December 2010, the day is cloudy and there is drips of rain falling, so the view isn't breathe-taking as it supposed to be on a sunny day. The year 2010 is filled with ups and downs and also struggles with self and there are goals which I haven't been able to achieve. Maybe the cloudy day might signify the year 2010 for me. It could have been better, yet I am thoroughly thankful for all the blessing which has been showered.

God has indeed blessed me and I should be more open hearted in offering service to him.
